In partnership with other not-for-profit organizations, (local, state, national, international, and academic), SIL personnel in Brazil are currently involved in:
- staffing translation, linguistics, and education workshops in Brazil, Guinea Bissau, and Mozambique
- publishing practical linguistic analyses of various languages
- facilitating the preparation and publishing of literature in indigenous languages, both translated and native authored
- publishing theoretical linguistics and didactic materials for use in workshops and training courses
- training translators in education, linguistics, and anthropology
- facilitating the production of literature by indigenous authors and teachers
- encouraging indigenous organizations
- facilitating community projects as requested by the communities we serve
