Description:
The author - a translator - discusses the social and political culture among the Bakairi people, who are all rather closely related to each other. They are egalitarian and decisions are made by informal concensus. He was concerned that the Christians were not having formal church services, but then realized that they were meeting and having informal discussions about Christianity in keeping with their culture's ways.
