This collection of texts was first recorded and transcribed by Gary Olson between 1973 and 1976. Allen and Cheryl Jensen continued the work begun by the Olsons, doing more extensive analysis of the Wayampi language as well as editing the texts collected by Gary. In this interlinear analysis of texts, the morphemic and grammatical analyses reflect the present state (1993) of the Jensens' knowledge of Wayampi grammar. The organization of the collection is as follows: Descriptive Texts (pages 1-19), Legends (pages 20-73), Narrative Texts (pages 74-105), Procedural Texts (pages 106-132), and Reflective Texts (pages 133-151).
